What is rooted?
rooted is a personal brain wrangler for habits and routines. It's a tool that helps you get a bird's-eye view of your habits, gather insights about how you use your time, and self-direct your deep dives and rabbit holes.
Organize your habits and routines as trees that contain a grouping of related topics, tasks, habits, or whatever you want to track -- these are called roots.
Any time you do something related to a root, you can touch it to keep track of when you last interacted with it. This helps you see at a glance which habits you've been keeping up with lately, and which ones you might need to pay more attention to.
Here are some examples of how I use rooted:
- Tracking daily habits, like taking medications
- Managing pet care
- Visualizing meals I have and haven't cooked recently
- Keeping tabs on my interests and how recently I've worked on certain projects
